Nathaniel Thomas, waiting for her to come back from shopping with her mother
for clothes for their trip to Ireland ….
Clinton was sat at the kitchen table drinking his coffee when he turned
to Nathaniel Thomas and said ….
“Mr. Thomas would you mind giving me the pleasure of allowing me to ask
for your daughter Isabella’s hand in marriage” with a smile on his face and
some nerves in his voice …..
“WHAT, you have only known each other a couple of months and you are
both still young, but if Isabella was to marry any one the son of James Radford
would make me a very proud man, so yes you have my blessing “replied Nathaniel
Thomas smiling ….
“Thank you” replied Clinton smiling ….
Nathaniel Thomas then went over to Clinton and put his hand on
Clinton’s shoulder and shook him by the hand and said ….
“You’re welcome my boy, you’re welcome” smiling ….
The following day Clinton and Isabella set off on their short trip in
the emerald isle of Ireland and to visit Clinton’s old school friend Russ

on her ….
Clinton and Isabella arrived at Russ Jones’s mother’s farm, just
outside Donegal, the fields were a lovely shade of green and the late September

“Hello Clinton my old friend” Russ shouted as he came running out of
the farm house front door ….
“Hi Russ, great place you have here and I would like to introduce you
to my girlfriend and the love of my life Isabella Thomas” Clinton replied with

After the pleasantries Russ Jones showed them both to their room,
giving them time to settle in before they came down to the kitchen for dinner,
it would be the first time Clinton and Isabella would have shared the same bed,
but what a trip they would both have ….
Clinton, Isabella, Russ and, Miriam Russ’ mother spent the night at the
local pub, singing, dancing and drinking in the only way the Irish know how to,

Clinton Radford” with a whisper and then walked over to him and gave him a
great big kiss ….
Clinton went down stairs as Isabella finished getting ready, he had
asked Russ’ mother Miriam nicely if she would do a nice picnic for himself and
Isabella for that day’s trip to the Giants Causeway ….

turned to Isabella and said ….

walking in the late September sun hand in hand as young lovers do …..
As Clinton and Isabella returned to the Jones farm house, Isabella rang
her father to tell him the good news that she had….
